- very hard to take bits and pieces of docs and combine together
- problem: either have to start from scratch with your own doc or start from scratch with someone else’s template
- ex: i just want yukhi’s voting button.
- Right now, I have to copy the entire doc, manually copy over each part of the button formula and add missing upvoters column to get the same thing
- OR i have to copy the entire doc, copy that table and adapt my entire process into that new table
- observation: smaller unit than doc that is valuable to people and should be transferrable. In-doc templates attempts to solve this and does in a lot of ways but the flywheel is stalled due to gating of creation
- just open it up by letting anyone define what they want in a “template” by letting them copy anything

- should be able to automatically detect what objects are referenced that don’t exist in my doc and prompt me to either assign them to existing things in my doc or automatically create new ones for me
