  • alienation is probably the worst emotion we can feel. That we are somehow different in a way that is “wrong”

    • There’s a bunch of discourse on finding yourself and being independent which is all very valuable but you can’t survive alone.
    • It’s the difference between someone who builds a bomb shelter for themselves vs. someone who can take care of their own things but makes themselves vulnerable intentionally so because that’s how you build trust and connection
      • it’s like how you feel closer to someone after they ask a favor of you
      • being depended upon is a signal of trust and you want to be around people who trust you.
      • You can never trust someone if you can never ask someone for help.
