warm beer my beer has become warm in the time. a party. loose drinks And limber friends filling
the dark gaps in dark space. i weave through, drifting from one
conversation to another. Coming in the door my eye’s corner spots you.
a moth finding the light. I find you. We share stories.
the origin of our clothes, the thrill of thrifting. the danger of suburbia.
How the love of a city can come from loving what it’s missing.
the way nature finds Space to flourish in the gaps of civilization.
My eyes mirroring the sparkle In yours. Your hand mirroring the advances of mine.
validating this is real, embodied defense mechanism against a cruel world.
A corner separates us. We peer around it. Lean our faces in
our ears convening, occupying the gaps, limbs inching
closer, the steam rising off our bodies, powerful currents at war. I look
up for air, survival instinct kicking in. I feel a swell her eyes burning my neck.
my beer has become warm in the time. the party starts as any other, some loose drinks And limber friends filling
the gaps in the dark space. i slice my way through The crowd, flitting from one
Tried conversation to another. You come in the door with Your friends, bearing
crimson gifts dressed in Glass. I find you, like a Moth finding the light
We share stories, the origin of our clothes, the thrill of thrifting.
the danger of suburbia how the love of a city can come from the love
of what it’s missing. The way nature finds Space to flourish in
The gaps of civilization. My eyes mirror the sparkle In yours. Your hand mirrors
Mine, adventuring for touches validating that this is real, a reminder for our sanity.
A corner separates us. We peer around it. Lean our faces in
Our ears too convening in the middle, occupying the gaps, limbs inching
closer, the steam rising off our bodies, powerful currents in battle. I look
up for a moment, a gasp for air in the frenzy. I feel her eyes burning my neck.
