thank you thank you golden showers of sunlight for your life giving energy

thank you semi-shrouded mountain outlines in the distance for an epic backdrop thank you string instrumentals for making me feel like a main character

the feeling of freshly poured ginger ale tickling my nose finishing unfinished food bound for the trash — leftovers are a blessing

the way the light shines at golden hour through the buildings of downtown. the way my heart shines when it’s thinking of someone

the way my mind slices when its in the zone. How it feels like a sharp japanese chefs knife

thank you planes. For the way you transport me to an alien world, one forcibly free from connection. And for window seats that have unobstructed views for offering me the world.

thank you large, metal, knock-off hydroflask. For serving me cool water despite how many times ive dropped you on your head

thank you potted plants for the air you gift me even while I choose to water myself instead of you.
