I’m being strangled By the cold embrace Of the desert. Her arms Bury my cracked limbs. I look for an escape, but none are available.

My legs, my arms, my Head and my heart all Trapped by the unforgiving Sea of sand, tiny daggers Flooding into my open holes, Leaving a thousand cuts across my scarred skin.

Ah, a blessing from the belly of God. Nectar from Olympus. A Spring of fresh sips saves me. Like finding your keys after an hour of frantic searching or discovering that your favorite dish is not, in fact, out of stock. Water is a miracle of life when you’ve Almost forgotten how it feels to not thirst.
