1/ ice on the bay, fire in the sky, spiders making homes among flowers, sharing homes for gum & mouthheld suns.
i pray to the mountain shadows to bless my future with awe.
2/ i think i saw god basking in the sunbacked star-
light of my heart. cow print bucket hat with a loose shirt,
Hawaiian & drenched in the world’s spit
hopes. milky beads swirling with the secrets they carry
atoms in time swinging side to side between saliva bubbles, miracles germinating.
3/ nothing is working except your smile. wide-brimmed & heavy with joy.
can’t get enough lost without breath
