Prepare a bit of writing or drawing or story or set of images about existing infrastructure which helps you reclaim your technological imagination. It can be something that you are personally involved in, that exemplifies a true sense of solidarity to you, or that is imperfect but inspiring. We will do a voluntary show-and-tell in the next class. You can upload any files for your infrastructure story here (section 1) and here (section 2).
- my laptop computer, the keyboard, how I give myself to my computer and take care of it and it offers me space to express myself and connect to wonderful people through the internet in return
- my breath, the fresh, delicious California water that comes free from my pipes, the trees, flower, and fauna around me that sway in the wind and provide me with air to breathe
- my feet and how it can carry me to so many places and the relationship of my feet with the world, how they are becoming intimate over decades
- my sight and the natural world and people and how they offer me so much to imagine with from the world
- are.na and obsidian and my text and images, the material and hosts for my digital foraging and collecting
- my hands, as a means of being in communion with others, and a means to express, create, and imagine
